The promotion of GI Joe Rise of Cobra is kicking into high gear, explosive TV spots have started to air, here one of those GI Joe TV spots:

I hope that the movie won't over-focus on Duke (Channing Tattum): better to show Snake Eyes (Ray Park)!

This new GI Joe lift some doubts I may have had: I'm convinced it's gonna be great. Not only a lot of action but also great CGI (except for the suits...) and some humor.

Hope that the next footage will give a better look at Cobra, love the GI Joe but I do feel some empathy for Cobra too!

GI Joe The Rise of Cobra Trailer for Superbowl

According to Nuke The Fridge, via Teaser Trailer (here), the first official trailer of GI Joe The Rise of Cobra is likely to be released during the Super Bowl 2009.

The guy who was a test-screening of the trailer isn't that much enthusiast about what he saw... The whole thing was rather cheesy according to what he says.

Well shall wait for the Superbowl to see the movie trailer of GI Joe Rise of Cobra myself!

A billboard poster for the movie GI Joe has been spotted by film1 at the current Cinema EXPO in Amsterdam, Netherlands. And this poster may give away the final title of the film, GI JOE RISE OF COBRA. The first poster features Channing Tatum as Duke.

The full title of "G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" has not been officialy confirmed yet. But according to Coming Soon, Hasbro has registered the domain name GIJoeRiseofCobra, so it is rather likely that the final title of GI Joe will indeed be GI Joe Rise of Cobra.

GI Joe enemy should not be a Scot!

Usually I would disagree if someone suggests to modify the characters of GI Joe. But to my viewpoint it would make sense to change the nationality of the leader of the evil organization Cobra (if not the name of Cobra itself...). Which man on Earth is evil enough to epitomize Cobra's wicked head? Guess who:

GI Joe will cook a Cobra soup again in 2009

Do you remember G.I. Joe? Was initially a military-themed line of action figures and toys created by Hasbro that was later adapted in an animated TV series and in a comic book. For my part I discovered GI Joe through my telly when was a kid.:)

Well great news: the GI Joe team is coming back! So we can expect some hot Cobra soup soon, the best snake soup ever!:)

Movie Premise:
"Ten years in the future, the G.I. Joe team battles the evil Cobra Organization, run by a Scottish arms dealer. The story takes place across the Arctic, Paris, Moscow, Washington, D.C., Australia and the Sahara. The team will be based in the Pit, while it was indicated Cobra Island will appear. In terms of characterization, the focus will be on Scarlett and the Baroness's romantic lives.

The film also acts as an origin story for many of the characters. Stephen Sommers said, "For people who know nothing about it, it'll make sense. And to people who love this stuff, it'll show where they all came from." (Source: Wikipedia)

One thing though, in reality GI Joe would not fight against a Scot as Cobra's leader but against you know what evil man...
